“I don’t know about you, but I’m running hard for the finish line. I’m giving it everything I’ve got. No lazy living for me! I’m staying alert and in top condition. I’m not going to get caught napping, telling everyone else all about it and then missing out myself. ”
I Corinthians 9:26-27 (Message Bible)

Seasoned long distance runners have learned to focus on endurance not just on speed. They are in it for the long haul not just a sprint. When things get tough and circumstances seem impossible, and obstacles come too often, you need to have staying power. So, what is the secret to the staying power? Hebrews 12:1-2 talks about how Jesus finished the race because He never lost sight of the goal. He could put up with anything. You will only endure the pain when you have something to look forward to. Success comes only when you are committed and have the passion to cross the finish line.

Question:
When the pressure is on, and the circumstances seem impossible, will you stay in the race? Get your eye on the goal, run to win, and you will cross the finish line.
