“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
Galatians 6:9 (ESV)

“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”
James 1:12 (ESV)

Edison failed 10,000 times but he’s gone down in history as the inventor of the light bulb.  Napoleon Hill said, “Do not be discouraged if you fail a few times.”  Oscar Wilde said, “Many of the great achievements of the world were accomplished by tired and discouraged men who kept on working.”

For nearly 30 years Abraham Lincoln endured personal pain, financial pain, and political pain, but he didn’t give up.  On November 6,1860 he was elected President of the United States, and by many, he is considered to be the greatest president in U.S. history.  I’m glad he didn’t give up and that he had the faith and tenacity to keep going.

Prayer:
Lord, thank you for the dreams and goals you have put within my heart. Help me to have the faith and courage to keep going, to never quit.
