“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

It has been said that the number one thing that robs us of our joy, peace, and ultimately our health, is fear. With all the instability that is going on in the world around us, fear is at its highest, but God tells us to trust Him more. For He tells us in Psalm 46:1 (NKJV), “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” One of the most effective ways to combat fear is to declare God’s words in an attitude of praise. In other words, start off every day declaring, “This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24 (NASB).” “If God is for us, who can be against us. Romans 8:31b (NKJV).” “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:37 (NKJV)” And “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 (NKJV).” It’s your decision: you can either let fear conquer you or you can conquer fear. Again, be reminded and speak it over your life: ”God has not given me a spirit of fear but of power love and a sound mind.”
