“That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.”
2 Corinthians 4:16 (NLT)

Discouragement can be one of the biggest challenges that you face in your life, but when you are discouraged because of difficulties in your life, you need to rest assured that this too will pass. God allows you to go through challenges and situations in your life to help you grow but there are also times of refreshment and rest. You need always to remember that the Father is always with you, giving you support, protecting you in whatever you’re going through. To overcome discouragement, you need to look to Jesus. It’s easy to get discouraged when you put your trust in people or just focus on your problems. Instead, keep your life focused on Christ, the One who said in John 14:27 (NASB), “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled nor let it be fearful.” And John 16:33 (NASB) says, “These things I’ve spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” Joshua 1:9 (NLT) says, “This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” It was Dale Carnegie who said these words, “Discouragement and failure are two of the surest steppingstones to success. In spite of everything I shall rise again: I will take up my pencil, which I have forsaken in my great discouragement, and I will go on with my drawing.”
