“So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace.”
2 Corinthians 4:16 (Message Bible)

Discouragement can be one of the biggest challenges you face in life. Discouragement is defined as “a feeling of having lost hope or confidence.” Discouragement can often be a result of difficulties in your life. You need to rest assured that this too will pass. God allows you to go through challenges and situations in your life to help you to mature in your faith, but there are also times of refreshment and rest. You need to remember that the Father is always with you, giving you support, protecting you in whatever you’re going through. To overcome discouragement, you will need to look to Jesus. It’s easy to get discouraged when you put your trust in people or just focus on your problems. Instead, keep your life focused on Christ, the one who said in John 14:27 (NASB), “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” And John 16:33 (NASB) says, “These things I have spoken to you, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

Take action right now and declare these words: “Because He has overcome the world, I too am an overcomer. I will not allow circumstances or difficulties in my life to discourage me, but I will put my trust in God, who is my refuge and strength, my very present help in time of need.”
