“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”
Proverbs 23:7a (NKJV)
Your thoughts can become the biggest obstacle to success in your life. It has been said, “What you think about influences how you behave—the things you do or don’t do. If your thoughts are negative or helpless, then your actions will follow suit.” What are the things that you allow your mind to focus on in the course of a day’s time? It’s often been said that it takes many positive thoughts to counteract one negative thought. Check out what you read, what you listen to, and the people that you surround yourself with. It’s all about choice. It’s up to you to use discretion and discernment in selecting the influencers that you allow to speak into your life. Your ability to think positively, to see the glass half full not half empty, and to learn from your experiences and shake off your mistakes, will be a huge help in the right direction. It’s been said, “Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones you will start having positive results.” To sum it all up, let’s put our focus on the things of Philippians 4:8 in the Amplified Bible, which reads, “Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].”
