“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.”
1 Peter 4:10 (NLT)
“The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.”
Proverbs 11:25 (NLT)
When we hear the word generosity, we often relate it to giving money to a nonprofit. Yet as business leaders, even though your financial resources are much needed and appreciated, you have much more to offer. It’s called time. I know we all say we’re really busy, but it’s always amazed me how the busiest people seem to find time to serve others. Each day I am so grateful to God for the time that He has given me. In this journey of my life, I have personally come to realize that time is a gift from God. It is a gift that is given to share with others. It was Ken Blanchard who said, “The best minute you spend is the one you invest in people.” And Suze Orman said, “Time and love are the most valuable possessions you can share.”
Father, I am thankful for this precious gift of time that you have given me. Help me to never take it for granted. Help me, oh God, that I may be a better steward of this gift and that I would see how precious time really is and to determine in my heart to invest my time in others, in Jesus Name, Amen!
