“Bless the Lord, my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, my soul, and do not forget any of His benefits; who pardons all your guilt, who heals all your diseases; who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with favor and compassion; who satisfies your years with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle.”
Psalm 103:1-5 NASB\

As you reflect over this past year, this has no doubt been one of the most challenging years that you have faced in a long time and yet in the midst of all of that’s been going on, you really have so much to be thankful for. It’s no doubt been a year filled with struggles and victories and yet at the very core of it, you can say with David, as it is so well written in the Message Bible in Psalm 103:1-3, “O my soul, bless God. From head to toe, I’ll bless his holy name! Oh my soul, bless God, don’t forget a single blessing!” Here is a suggestion: take a few moments to think about all the different blessings you have received over this past year and then journal them. Then give thanks to God for what He’s done in your life. Think about the people who have had a special impact on your life this past year. Maybe it was a moment that you just needed someone to pray for you or it was that time they listened to you when you just needed to talk. They were there for you. They encouraged you and because of their influence in your life, you’re a stronger person today then you were yesterday. Thank you for your support and may you be blessed with a very special Christmas. Remember the reason for the season – Jesus Christ. May our Savior and our Lord God bless you.
