I want to share with you this morning about laying all of our stresses at the feet of Jesus. Bring your disappointments, your failures, your broken dreams, your worries, your fears, your loss, your pain, to the Lord. You don’t have to carry those things around any longer. Lay it all at the feet of Jesus, the one who said in Matthew 11:28a (NASB), “Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” Let Him carry you and bring you through whatever is going on in your life. Come to Him for everything and take it to Him in prayer. Let the Lord heal you and bring you perfect peace. In Jeremiah 29:11 (NASB) He says, “For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for your welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.’”

When we look at the vastness of God’s creation and all of its beauty, when we look at a new born baby who the Bible says is wonderfully made – every little finger, every little toe, perfectly formed by the Creator Himself – how can we doubt God for a moment since He can perfectly form a child? He is capable of taking care of us. He knows your personal needs. He knows your ups and down. As it says in Psalm 107:28-29 (NASB), “Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distresses. He caused the storm to be still, so that the waves of the sea were hushed.” You are not alone in your struggles nor are you ever without His help. It’s one thing to trust God to get you to the Red Sea, but it’s quite another to trust that He will part the waters and bring you safely across. Would you be willing to declare with me this morning, “I will make a choice daily to lay my burdens before the Lord, trusting and resting in His presence.”
