“There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.”
Proverbs 14:12 NASB

Could this be you? “I’ve set some goals for the year but, if it’s like past years, that all fades in a few weeks. I take four steps forward but then I fall back six steps. It’s just a struggle and I’m so tired of not being victorious.”

The problem is that we hear all about things in the world system that are supposed to be good for us and they seem right for us, but it all ends up futile. And because most of our struggles are of the flesh, either physical or a depleted soul (mind, will, emotions), we try to fight these struggles with our flesh. Instead, this year include in your goals a decision to fight your battles in the flesh with the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 (NASB) challenges us, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete.”

Take Action:

Read Romans 8 and be intentional daily, asking the Holy Spirit to fill you and enable you to walk in His Wisdom and Power. And thank Him by faith that you are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus who loves you.
