“Then Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with His disciples. Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke Him up, shouting, ‘Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!’ Jesus responded, ‘Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!’ Then He got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm. The disciples were amazed. ‘Who is this man?’ they asked. ‘Even the winds and waves obey him!’”
Matt. 8:23-27 NLT
You may be going through a storm in your life right now and just as Jesus strongly encouraged His disciples, He encourages you to have faith. You are going to make it through. It’s going to be alright. Keep in mind that this storm is not just about you. There’s training in the storm. There is a message in the storm. God is preparing you for the other side. In this case, it was ministry to two demon possessed men. See, God never wastes storms in your life. He will use that trial you are going through to train you, to counsel you, and comfort you to help others. “All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NLT”
