“Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well developed, not deficient in any way.”

James 1:2-4 (The Message)

Isn’t it interesting that when you are hit with a challenge or problem, the first thing to happen is that you cry out to God, “God help me. Get me out of this thing.” This is when the flesh kicks in and it all becomes about you. Do you know that you are blessed when you are at the end of your rope? With less of you there is more of God and His plan. Just as it says, “So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it (that challenge, that pain that problem) do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.”
