HOW’S YOUR PROSPECTIVE?

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials,

knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.

And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may

be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

James 1:2-4 NASB

How often do you allow your problems and circumstances to bring you down where you become discouraged and wallow in self-pity?  You can choose to stay there and let your problems control your emotions or you can choose to change your perspective and start looking to Him who says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 NASB”

You can also be reminded that the problems you encounter are all producing endurance and endurance matures.  The Message Bible reads, “Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.  James 1:2-4”
