“The mind of man plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.” (NAS)

Proverbs 16:9 (New American Standard Bible)

Perhaps you got up this morning and left your house with a plan but you needed the Lord to direct your steps.  But sometimes we struggle with that, don’t we?  When you say, “Direct my steps,” you are saying, “Lord, I want my plans to fit into your plans.  Lord, I have been trying to be more patient at work, but it isn’t working.  I need your help.  Lord, I have this big business deal and I need your wisdom.  Today, not tomorrow.  I need your help today.

Today I want to be in step with you.”

Life is filled with choices – His Steps or your steps.  How are you doing in this?  Do you feel like you need to make some changes in this area.  You can decide right now to make a change.  It’s all about Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.  Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”  (NLT)
