“But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions;

then stand still and watch the Lord’s victory. He is with you.”

11 Chronicles 20:17 (NLT)

Perhaps you’re going through some stuff right now and you need a breakthrough. Maybe it’s with your finances, or it’s your marriage or your business relationships. Perhaps it’s your health. If you want a breakthrough you are going to need to position yourself. The following are a few suggestions that will help you in this.

  1. Cut away the weights and unbelief in your life, things that are pulling you down and getting you off track. “Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles so easily entangles us; and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith. NASB Hebrews 12:1-2a.”
  1. Quit pondering the past. In other words, stop dwelling on your past failures and those things that just didn’t seem to go right for you. God is getting ready to do something new in your life and it will break forth quickly.
  1. Watch with expectation. 2 Chronicles 20:17 tells us to watch the Lord’s victory. And Ephesians 3:20-21 (NASB) says, “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever.”
  1. As you stand and watch with expectation you will need to speak only what God speaks. Joshua 6:10 (NASB) says, “But Joshua commanded the people, saying, ‘You shall not shout nor let your voice be heard nor let a word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I tell you, ‘shout!’ Then you shall shout!” Stop speaking things that God does not speak. Stop speaking unbelief.
