“Rest in God alone, my soul, for my hope comes from Him. He alone is my rock and

my salvation, my stronghold; I will not be shaken.”

Psalm 62:5-6 (HCSB)

It’s summer and with that comes the thoughts of warmer weather, barbecues, sports with kids or grandkids and a much-needed vacation – what we sometimes refer to as rest and relaxation. Yet have you noticed you can go on vacation and get back home and you still feel like you need another vacation?  You can be on an extended vacation and still be stressed out. Because you have not had that R&R the way the Easy-To-Read Version reads: Psalm 62:5-8 (ERV) “I must calm down and turn to God; He is my only hope. He is my Rock, the only one who can save me. He is my high place of safety, where no army can defeat me. My victory and honor come from God. He is the mighty Rock, where I am safe. People, always put your trust in God! Tell him all your problems. God is our place of safety.”
