“Do you see a man who excels in his work?

He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown men.”

Proverbs 22:29 NKJV

John Maxwell says, “Excellence is the gap between average and exceptional,” and he further says, “By cultivating a culture of excellence, a business attracts customers and wins their loyalty.” It was Colin Powell who said, “If you are going to achieve excellence in big things, you develop the habit in little matters. Excellence is not an exception. It is a prevailing attitude.”

This is really about perspective. So often we focus only on the big picture thus forgetting all the little things. It takes the details to achieve the big picture. Focus your attention on excelling in the details and you will succeed in the big things. Further it’s been said, “Success in life is founded upon attention to the small things rather than to the large things; to the every day things nearest to us rather than to the things that are remote and uncommon.”

DECLARATION:

Starting today, I will take it one day at a time and focus my attention on details and little things.
