“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come.”

II Corinthians 5:17 (NASB)

Wow, I am so excited about the New Year ahead of us! I believe it is good that we reflect on last year and praise the Father for where we have come, but let’s not get stuck on yesterday’s successes or failures because He is about to do something new in your life. Perhaps you have grown too comfortable, too content, and you have settled. I want to challenge you in 2018 to break out of your comfort zone and get out on the edge where it’s a little uncomfortable and trust God.

When you get out on the edge you become more of a risk taker. It’s not very comfortable because you are forging in unfamiliar territory. But I believe this is what God wants because it is here that you have to trust Him. I believe you will have new levels of thinking. Areas that you have been reluctant to change will change. You will speak more faith, walk out more acts of love. You will pray more, give more, serve more, forgive more, care more, and dream more. Our Father is about new beginnings, for it is no longer you who lives but Christ who lives in you. Only look up for He is the God of the hills. Where does your help come from? It comes from the Father. For He is your Refuge and your Strength.

DECLARATION:

I declare I am not looking back but I am forging ahead, looking to my Heavenly Father to use me more in all that He has gifted me with in this new year and I will, through His help, break out of my settling zone.
