“Now I want you to know and continue to rest assured, brethren, that what has happened to me this imprisonment has actually only served to advance and give a renewed impetus to the spreading of the good news the Gospel.”

Philippians 1:12 (Amplified Bible)

Attitude and a strong sense of purpose go hand-in-hand.  No matter what the circumstances were in Paul’s life, he could continue to smile and have a positive attitude because he had a strong sense of his purpose. You can either surrender to your circumstances and be down in the mouth or surrender to a cause, a purpose that is so great that your circumstances won’t matter.  When you surrender to a purpose, it doesn’t matter what’s happening around you. You can have good days or bad days but the purpose never dies. A strong sense of purpose motivates you and helps you to keep on track.
