“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!”

Philippians 4:4 NASB

It’s easy to rejoice in the Lord when things are going great – business is growing, bills are being paid, Accounts Receivable are coming in, new contracts are being written. But here it says, “Rejoice in the Lord always.” The keyword here is “always.” At all times, and all circumstances, you are to rejoice.

Rejoice Always:

In the Valley of the Shadow: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4 NASB

In Need: “Though the fig tree should not blossom And there be no fruit on the vines, Though the yield of the olive should fail And the fields produce no food, Though the flock should be cut off from the fold And there be no cattle in the stalls, Yet I will exult in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.” Habakkuk 3:17-18 NASB

In Weakness: “I am made strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10b NASB

In All Things: “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 NASB

In Serving: “Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing.” Psalm 100:2
