Called To a Higher Level of Leadership

“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24 NLT As business leaders, you are challenged through His Word to raise your level of leadership and to ask yourself if you are honoring Christ in the workplace environment. Here are just a few questions you might yourself: Am I bringing my walk with Christ into each business relationship? Am I valuing people highly? Ephesians 4:32 NLT says, “…be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” Am I treating and motivating those entrusted to me with respect? Am I learning to speak appropriately and sensitively? Ephesians 4:29 NASB says, “Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who...

Be A Team Player

“Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up. Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 NASB Whether you were for the Patriots or not, one would have to admit it was an incredible comeback. It seemed like everything was clicking in the second half and everyone was playing their position to the fullest. They all were on the same page – awesome teamwork! To be successful, every business needs team players each functioning in their gifts and skills and not looking out after their own interest but the interest of others, working for the success of the entire business. QUESTION:    Are you a team...

What Are We To Do In the Wilderness?

Posted on Feb 13, 2017 in WEEKLY WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT | 0 comments

“He changes a wilderness into a pool of water and a dry land into springs of water; and there He makes the hungry to dwell, so that they may establish an inhabited city, and sow fields and plant vineyards, and gather a fruitful harvest. Also He blesses them and they multiply greatly, and He does not let their cattle decrease.” Psalm 107:35-38 NASB We’ve all had those times where it seems that life is going nowhere. We’re not getting those breakthroughs that we had hoped for and things are just tough right now.  There are 3 things I believe will get you past all this funk: Realize who God is, His character.  He has made everything. There’s nothing He can’t do, no circumstance He cannot turn around. No matter what is happening and how bleak things might look. He’s still in control – trust Him. Trust Him in His goodness. Specifically ask God for His help. “Lord, help me not to succumb to this pit of fear. Help me to trust you. “I will cry to God most high, to God who accomplishes all things for me.” Psalm 57:2 NASB Don’t give up. Be Strong, be courageous, and keep persevering. It is a marathon not a sprint. You are going to make it. “He’s our refuge, our strength, our very present help in time of trouble.”  Psalm 46:1...

He Will Grow Your Business

Posted on Feb 6, 2017 in WEEKLY WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT | 0 comments

“And He was saying, ‘The kingdom of God is like a man who casts seed upon the soil; and he goes to bed at night and gets up by day, and the seed sprouts and grows–how, he himself does not know. The soil produces crops by itself; first the blade, then the head, then the mature grain in the head. But when the crop permits, he immediately puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.’” Mark 4:26-29 NASB Your business is all about God. It’s God who will grow your business, just as the farmer prepares the soil and casts the seed. As a business leader you use your skills and talents that the Father has given you and when you apply His wisdom to your talents, you are diligent to do well what God has purposed for you to do and then you rest. You don’t fret or worry but you rest and your sleep is sweet because you trust that God is at work bringing in the harvest, opening up new avenues of income, pouring out His favor and bringing breakthroughs. It is really about Matthew 6:28-33 NLT – “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you...
