A Change of Thinking

“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever.” Ephesians 3:20-21 NASB The Message Bible reads, “God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.” Perhaps you are going through some stuff and you’re not feeling a whole lot of value. Your life is not over. But you are going to need to change the way you think. Instead of focusing on the impossibility of something, start thinking about the possibility.  It is impossible for God to lie.  It is impossible for Him to deny His own nature.  You will need to develop that favor mentality. With every door you try, you have the favor of God on your life.  When you first get up in the morning, thank Him for His favor on your life and go out with that expectant attitude, watching for God’s favor upon you.  His goodness and mercy follow you all the days of your life.  No problem is too great.  No sickness He cannot heal. No bondage He cannot break.  It’s a new day.  Stay in an attitude of faith.  Your breakthrough is now. 1 John 4:4 NASB says, “You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the...

A Key To Leadership – Passion

Posted on Mar 21, 2016 in WEEKLY WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT | 0 comments

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 ESV It has been said about passion, “Passion is the energy that comes from bringing more of YOU into what you do.”  John Maxwell said, “Passion is more important than a plan. Passion creates fire. It provides fuel. I have yet to meet a passionate person who lacked energy. As long as the passion is there, it doesn’t matter if they fail.  It doesn’t matter how many times they fall down.  It doesn’t matter if others are against them or if people say they cannot succeed. They keep going and make the most of whatever talent they possess.” Your passion for your vision will ignite those around you.  Passion is contagious.  With passion, you set an atmosphere for success.  Do you ever feel like giving up but you know that you know that the Father has given you a vision?  You may be thinking right now, “That used to be me.  I had that kind of passion once and nothing could stop me.  But I seem to have lost it.  What do I do?”  I believe you need to go back to your vision and write it down so you can read it everyday.  Then ask the Father to stir you up with the burning passion you once had in your heart, and get ready because He will do...

Let Go and Let God

Posted on Mar 14, 2016 in WEEKLY WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT | 0 comments

“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” 1 Peter 5:7 NLT Life is filled with challenges and they come in all different shapes and sizes. At times it may seem almost unbearable to you. You wonder if it will ever end.  Will I get through this?  Nehemiah was faced with what looked like an insurmountable challenge – the rebuilding of the walls and gates of Jerusalem.  He said this in Nehemiah 1:3 (The Message), “They told me, ‘The exile survivors who are left there in the province are in bad shape. Conditions are appalling. The wall of Jerusalem is still rubble; the city gates are still cinders.’”  Not only were there challenges but he was faced with naysayers forever confronting him and harassing him. The very first thing Nehemiah did was to sit down and weep and then he sought the Lord in prayer.  In Mathew 11:28 Jesus says these words, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (NIV).  I was with a gentleman the other day who is going through some unbelievable challenges and he said these words to mel, “I have got to let go and let God.”  Great wisdom. Stop right now and look at what you’re facing and how it is affecting you. You don’t need to fret, struggle or fight anymore.  Let go and let...

God Cares About the Poor

“Believers who are poor have something to boast about, for God has honored them.”   James 1:9 (NLT) How does He honor them? “For he has not ignored or belittled the suffering of the needy. He has not turned his back on them, but has listened to their cries for help.” Psalms 22:24 (NLT) First of all, He does not ignore their need, their suffering.  Secondly, He has listened to their cries for help.  And thirdly, He answers their cry for help through each of us.  Isaiah 58:7 (NLT) says, “Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless.  Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need your help.”  How are you going to hear those cries?  You need daily to be tuned into the Holy Spirit because I believe the cries of the poor can get into your spirit before they get into your soul (mind, will and emotions). This is why you have to be tuned into the Father or you will never hear the cries of the...
