Reality Sports Wrestling Night

Posted on Nov 30, 2015 in VOLUNTEER STORIES | 0 comments

On November 4th Reality Sports provided training, and shared the gospel, for wrestlers from 15 area high schools.  That evening they held a dinner for the parents and students and asked Liberty Road Foundation for volunteers to provide the meal. Angela Toler of Tacoma Chiropractic, and the LRF Tacoma group, stepped up to cook the meal for over forty attendees.  Al Peterson, also from the LRF Tacoma group, and his wife delivered and served the meal. Brian Peterson, Executive Director of Reality Sports, shared in an email to LRF, “Thank you for your work in connecting Reality Sports to businesses who care.  Angela Toler cooked a fantastic meal for our wrestlers Wednesday night. What a blessing it was to the kids and parents we serve. It was a great time to sit down with the families and get to know them better around a meal.  Keep up the good work!” Thank you to Angela and Al for sharing your hearts for others and showing what “love your neighbor” is all about! A Blessing Is On Its Way

Posted on Nov 30, 2015 in WEEKLY WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT | 0 comments

“What shall we then say to these things?  If God be for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31 KJV There is an amazing future in front of you. Don’t ever let your thoughts convince you that you have made so many mistakes that God could never use you. Remember the bible story of Job and what he went through. I believe he would have said, “I have been going through some really tough times and I was about to give up. My wife even told me to curse God and die. I felt depressed but I said though He slay me yet will I trust Him. I am happy to report that God didn’t just bring me out of my mess. But He brought me out better than I was before. I got my health back, I got my business back, my dreams back.” I believe that Job is standing in the grandstands of life and cheering us on as he says to all who are in tough times and suffered loss in a family, in relationships, in your finances, in your business, “I am here to tell you that a blessing is coming your way. God is going to turn it around on your behalf. He’s a God that specializes in new...

I Am Thankful

Posted on Nov 23, 2015 in WEEKLY WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT | 0 comments

“In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” I Thessalonians 5:18 NASB According to the word thankfulness means feeling or expressing gratitude; appreciative.  An example of a time when you are thankful is when you are pleased and grateful for what you have.  I like what Joel Osteen says, “Gratitude is one of the essential keys to staying happy and inspired in your daily life. When you make a point to find small things to be thankful for, it’s like a thousand little candles that, altogether, can light the darkness.” Somebody in your life today needs to hear, “I am thankful for you.” It’s so important to work on being thankful everyday. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in what you don’t have and complain a whole lot. Here’s a question for you. Do you complain more than you compliment? Is there more negativity than positivity that comes out of your mouth? I like what my pastor, Royce Wilson, says, “The power of a thanks trumps...

It’s Tough Right Now

Posted on Nov 9, 2015 in WEEKLY WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT | 0 comments

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence.  In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]!  For I have overcome the world.  [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” John 16:33 Amplified Bible Right now as you read this you may be going through some stuff that at times almost feels unbearable. Maybe it’s a financial problem, a health issue or a relationship struggle and you wonder how you’re going to make it.   You can continue to try and figure it out on your own or you can choose to relinquish it to Him.  When you turn from your problems to His presence, your load is immediately lighter. There is neither mountain too high nor any valley too low that He cannot conquer. But you have got to turn it over to Him. DECLARATION:   Meditate on the following verse and then act on it. “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28...

Why We Exist

Posted on Nov 2, 2015 in WEEKLY WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT | 0 comments

“But it is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant; and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Mark 10:43-45 NASB The very core of our purpose and why we exist is to serve and to give to others. John 15:13 says, “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” In other words, lay it all down, your skills, your talents, everything that God has gifted you with. It’s really about bringing value into someone else’s life. Value is like a fine thread that weaves in and out through the course of a day’s time in all that you do. In other words, are you committed to bringing value to your families and to your workplace with fellow employees? It has been said, “A good leader motivates others to act but a great leader not only motivates but brings value to those they lead.” And furthermore, when you focus on bringing value to others, you will find that it will bring financial blessings for your business because it will be authentic and you will be respected. Proverbs 11:25 NASB says, “The generous man will be prosperous, and he who waters will himself be...
