How Are You Dealing With Stress?

“Therefore I tell you, stop being perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink; or about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life greater [in quality] than food, and the body [far above and more excellent] than clothing?  Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they?” Matthew 6:25-26 (The Amplified Bible) No matter what your challenges may be, how dark your tunnel may seem or how long the road may be, you are going to make it. Put your trust in the Lord and you will be established. You are valuable. You are special to God. He cares about you and He will meet your needs. Don’t you dare give up. God is working for you night and day. He never rests. You see, far too often we can find ourselves focusing on the negative or the impossibility of something instead of its possibility with God. We are surrounded by His greatness and goodness. There is no question He cannot answer, no problem He cannot solve. There is no need that you have that He cannot meet. DECLARATION: I will choose to take one day at a time and trust Him with my concerns and...

Shelley Sullivan, RN, recently provided an engaging presentation to the students of Stewart Middle School during a “Career Day” put on by Olive Crest.  Olive Crest, a non-profit partner of Liberty Road Foundation, provides support to local foster children and families. Shelley received the following kudos from Sharon Mooers, Regional Development Director of Olive Crest: “On behalf of the children and families Olive Crest serves from Stewart Middle School in Tacoma, THANK YOU!!  Your presentation to the students during Career Day was informative, inspiring and from the heart. As you know, a large amount of students are from single parent households and over 90% are on free and reduced lunch.  On Career Day it is so important to have professionals from all areas come and inspire student to reach big and show them the path to succeed.  You did that and so much more with a spirit of love and compassion.  Thank you again for blessing the kids.” Shelley and her husband, Shaun, support Liberty Road Foundation as Founders, volunteers and corporate sponsors at events.  They attend the Tacoma LRF Business Leaders Breakfast group. You Are Special

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom He has chosen for His own own inheritance.  The LORD looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men; from His dwelling place He looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth, He who fashions the hearts of them all, He who understands all their works.”   Psalm 33:12-15 NASB Look specifically at verse 15, “He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works.”  The same God whose mind and power fashioned the stars, the seas, the animals and all human beings, has carefully, intentionally and individually crafted you.  That means you are special, you are unique.  No one else has been given exactly the same makeup as God has given you and Psalm 139:13-16 NASB says, “For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb.  I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.  My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them.” Here it speaks of our Father’s intimate knowledge of each of us.  The word “formed” is a word that has to do with ownership.  God knows us intimately because He owns us.  He is like the inventor who carefully designs and builds a device and then becomes the owner of its patent.  The word “covered” means the idea of our personal body and soul being intricately molded and crocheted together in our mother’s womb.  It is a process that involves time, skill and craftsmanship.  In other words, you are not thrown together but rather God intentionally and masterfully created you in your mother’s womb and works everything together into a whole, according to His will. You are unique. You are...

New Horizons Ministries is closed during the month of February while undergoing a major expansion and remodel.    But, this didn’t stop Ron Harris, President of Valley Harvest Products, and his employees from finding a way to help out on the day they would normally go to cook/serve lunch to the youth.  The team gathered together, made up 50 sack lunches and took them to New Horizons Ministries to hand out.  Ron said, “We knew the kids would still be needing food.”   To learn more about New Horizons Ministries check out their site at http://nhmin.org/   To find out how you can help, please contact Debby Hartsock, LRF Director of Business Development at 206-954-4549...
