WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT: WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”  (NAS) .   Psalm 46:1 Have you been going through some stuff lately?  Maybe you feel winded and you’re tuckered out.  Real hardships exist and we all have them.  Sometimes we create our own challenges and at other times things happen outside of our control.  When they do happen, what are you going to do?  Remember who you are and that you are a child of God and remember what He has brought you through.  Look at what He has been doing in your life – those situations in your past when you thought you would never make it; those times when you were faithless and He was faithful.  It’s all about Him.  It’s about His presence. “…in your presence is fullness of joy…”  (NASB) Psalm 16:11 He’s your anchor.  He’s your refuge.  He’s your strength.  He never fails you.  Celebrate His presence.  How do you celebrate?  You rejoice, you shout, you praise Him.  You thank Him.  “I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth…this poor man cried and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.”  (NASB) Ps. 34:1, 6 DECLARATION:  I will celebrate Your presence because it’s in Your presence that I have protection.  In Your presence I have provision.  In Your presence I have healing and in Your presence I have...

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT: DEFEATING YOUR GIANTS

Posted on Sep 17, 2012 in WEEKLY WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT | 0 comments

“Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them.  Be strong and very courageous.  Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you.  Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left.  Then you will be successful in everything you do.  Study this Book of Instruction continually.  Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it.  Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.  This is my command – be strong and courageous!  Do not be afraid or discouraged.   For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”  (NLT) Joshua 1:6-9 Here the Father is encouraging Joshua to be of good courage and stand strong against what seems to be insurmountable odds.  He was faced with a land of giants.  His assignments lead the Nation of Israel.  Immense pressure, wouldn’t you say?  But Joshua did not cave into the fears and anxiety of the size of his enemy.  Instead, he moved forward in confidence, staying true to the course that God had set him on.  How are you doing with the giants you face?  Be encouraged by His Word, “Be strong and courageous!  Do not be afraid or discouraged.”  Stay on course for the Lord is with you and He will not fail you.  “Trust in the Lord, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”  (NKJV) Proverbs 3:5-6 DECLARATION:  I will trust in You, Lord, and not lean on my own understanding and in all my ways I will acknowledge You and You will direct my paths and keep me strong and...

“All things work to good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 NAS You may be going through some stuff right now.  You may have important decisions to make or you may be faced with a financial situation that you don’t see any way out of.  Or you may have a health issue that you’re struggling with.  You may need help with your children, your marriage or your job.  No matter what your situation may be right now, Romans 8:28 is right here for you.  Not all things are good but all things work to the good. God is El-Shaddai, the God of more than enough.  He’s in your life working all things to your good.  He is always there to turn your messes around, to intervene on your behalf.  The Amplified Bible reads, “We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.”  Whatever the circumstances are that arise, you can totally, without any doubt and with all confidence, rely on God’s promise that He will work your situation, your circumstances, to the good. WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT: A NEW WAY TO THINK

Posted on Sep 3, 2012 in WEEKLY WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT | 0 comments

“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.”  (NASB)                                                                                            Ephesians 3:20-21 The Message Bible reads, “God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.”  Do you need a breakthrough in some area of your life?  You are going to need to change the way you think.  Many focus on the impossibility of something instead of its possibility.  It is impossible for God to lie.  It is impossible for Him to deny His own nature.  You will need to develop that favor mentality.  With every door you try, you have the favor of God on your life.  When you first get up in the morning, thank Him for His favor on your life and go out with that expectant attitude, watching for God’s favor upon you.  His goodness and mercy follow you all the days of your life.  No problem is too great.  No sickness He cannot heal.  No bondage He cannot break.  It’s a new day.  Stay in an attitude of faith.  Your breakthrough is now! DECLARATION:  I will thank Him every morning for His favor on my life and travel throughout the day with that expectant attitude of God you are...
