WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT: HAVE YOU HAD A HEART CHECKUP LATELY:

Posted on Apr 25, 2011 in WEEKLY WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT | 0 comments

HAVE YOU HAD A HEART CHECKUP LATELY? Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21 NASB It has been said, “Your words precede your miracle.”  Charles Capp says, “Words are containers.  They carry faith or fear and they produce after their kind.”  Whatever is in your heart will determine what you say.  Luke 6:45 NKJV says, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heartbrings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.” Check out your heart.  What have you been putting into it lately?  The books you read, the movies you watch, the people you hang with and the thoughts you think all affect your heart, which in turn affects what you say.  Proverbs 4:23 NASB says, “Watch over your heart with all diligence, forfrom it flow the springs of life.”  And in The Message Bible, Proverbs 4:23-27 says, “Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts.  Don’t talk out of both sides of your mouth; avoid careless banter, white lies, and gossip.  Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions.  Watch your step, and the road will stretch out smooth before you. Look neither right nor left; leave evil in the...

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT: WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU’RE FACED WITH A CRISIS?

Posted on Apr 16, 2011 in WEEKLY WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT | 0 comments

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU ARE FACED WITH A CRISIS? The Free Dictionary by Farlex defines “crisis” as ”a crucial or decisive point or situation; a turning point.  It further defines crisis as an emotionally stressful event or traumatic change in a person’s life.”  What do we do when this situation or emotionally stressful event occurs?  First thing we need to do is to get a right focus.  Psalm 121:1-2 NASB says, “I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where shall my help come?  My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.”  The second thing we need to do is to put our emotions into check.  Don’t let your heart be troubled.  Isaiah 43:2 NASB says, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you.  When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you.”  Then lastly we need to put our complete trust in God.  “You are my hiding place; you will save me from trouble.  I sing aloud of your salvation, because you protect me.”           Psalm 32:7...

COMMIT TO PERSONAL GROWTH “Do you see a man skilled in his work?  He will stand before kings.” Proverbs 22:29 Your business is a direct reflection of who you are and where you are.  It will only grow as quickly as you do.  What are some of those things that may be keeping you from going to that next level in personal growth?  Maybe it’s procrastination – “I am always going to make that change tomorrow, start that program tomorrow” – and we become famous at putting off things.  Or maybe it’s a lack of discipline or laziness.  Benjamin Franklin said this about laziness. “Laziness travels so slowly that poverty soon overtakes him.“ Search your heart.  Are there some changes that you might need to make in order to unleash your personal...

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT: PASSION – A KEY TO SUCCESS

Posted on Apr 1, 2011 in WEEKLY WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT | 0 comments

PASSION — A KEY TO SUCCESS It has been said about passion, “Passion is the energy that comes from bringing more of YOU into what you do.” John Maxwell said, “Passion is more important than a plan. Passion creates fire. It provides fuel. I have yet to meet a passionate person who lacked energy. As long as the passion is there, it doesn’t matter if they fail.  It doesn’t matter how many times they fall down.  It doesn’t matter if others are against them or if people say they cannot succeed. They keep going and make the most of whatever talent they possess.” Your passion for your vision will ignite those around you.  Passion is contagious.  With passion, you set an atmosphere for success.  Do you ever feel like giving up but you know that you know that the Father has given you a vision?  You maybe thinking right now, “That used to be me.  I had that kind of passion once and nothing could stop me.   But I seem to have lost it.  What do I do?” I believe you need to go back to your vision and write it down where you can see it everyday.  Then ask the Father to stir you up with the burning passion you once had in your heart, and get ready because He will do...
